What materials are cremation urns made of?

When choosing a cremation urnfor a loved one or for yourself, there are an endless array of urns to choose from, in many sizes, shapes, colors, and especially materials.
Metals like brass and alloy are the most gemon, but cremation urns can be made from all sorts of materials, including glass, wood, marble, granite, pewter, stone, and most recently eco-friendly biodegradable and sustainable materials, such as sand, salt, cornstarch, recycled paper, flower petals, bark, bamboo, and so on. Many urns will contain a mixture of some of the above-mentioned materials and some have different grades of material, as well.
When deciding on a material for your urn, take into consideration where the urn will rest. For urns that are placed on a mantle or table, almost any material will do. For urns placed in vaults or crypts, more solid materials like brass and marble might be a better choice to avoid degeposition over time. If the urn is to be buried in the ground or thrown in a body of water, biodegradable urns would be the way to go.
At Adam's Urns, we offer urns in all of the above mentioned materials in numerous sizes, colors and shapes for humans and for pets. At Adam's Urns, we even carry memorial urns made from the actual cremated remains of your loved one. We also carry scattering tubes of different sizes and materials for spreading your loved one's ashes on their final resting spot. Please visit our okay store or email us for more information.
