feedback crap
Alright folks...lets get real! PLEASE GIVE US SELLERS A BREAK!!! I am not only a seller, but also a buyer. I have been on okay for over 7 years now. As a frequent buyer, I know exactly how I like to be treated. So lets talk about these ridiculous GOLD STARS! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!! First Criteria is geMUNICATION: When the auction ends, I send you an invoice immediately. When I receive your payment I email you and let you know I will be shipping your package within 24 hours (usually it is the same day). When I mail your package, I email you and let you know your package is on the way (if you paid for insurance and/or delivery confirmation, I include that in your email). Second Criteria is SHIPPING TIME: As previously stated, I ship your item within 24 hours of receiving cleared payment, sometimes even the same day. I could not ship it any faster unless I grabbed my sleeping bag and slept at the post office. Third Criteria is SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES: Considering I am also a buyer, I know exactlyhow I like my items to be packaged and so forth. I even go the extra mile for my buyers. I package your item to guarantee no harm can gee to it at the hands of the careless postal carriers. I have been told I package my items better than Fort Knox! I do not charge a handling fee. I actually lose money on shipping frequently and that is because the USPS has changed how their rates are applied. They now use a zone system which makes the postage fluctuate and it is not as simple as trying to figure the postage on their website anymore. They now have different categories for different envelopes and the exact thickness of them! I have been reimbursing buyers even if they have overpaid a dime on shipping. Kinda silly huh!? I won't go on about that or I'll be the one to go postal! I have recently learned (after seeing part of my glimmer on my gold stars dulling, for no reason!) that there is just no way to please everyone. Heck, if I hand delivered your package wrapped in gold leaf paper and it was a million timesbetter then what you thought it would be, you would STILL find something to gripe about! WHY? I don't get "it". Also, you like receiving glowing feedback, right? Well, take the time to reciprocate it with the person you bought from. It takes seconds! If there is something you aren't happy about, take the time to email the seller, if they are a reputable seller then they will respond a.s.a.p. Most sellers, such as myself, spend more time then you would ever imagine preparing ads. It might look like a breeze, but it is extremely time consuming. One more thing I would like ALL BUYERS TO KEEP IN MIND: Have you ever thought about: 1) The overall time spent to list ads 2) okays fees for when the item lists and when it closes? (Ya, you get it from both ends). It averages approx. 15% of the final auction amount. 3) When sellers let you pay with PAYPAL we also lose a chunk of change. Fee for a $50.00 transaction = $2.25. Here are their fees: 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD. 4) Price of: a) paper; b) printer ink; c) packaging materials (envelopes, bubble envelopes, packing tape, bubble wrap); d) cost of gas to go to the post office and so on and so forth. All I can say is most sellers are trying to do the best that they can. They are not out to rip you off a quarter. Just please have a little more understanding when leaving feedback. But first.....leave feedback! It will be returned to you!
