If you are looking to buy a motorcycle

Hi everyone. My husband and I were looking at buying a motorcycle. It seemed like such a great deal. It was a Honda cbr 1000rr.
Needless to say, my husband was so very excited to see the price was $2,000 which of course was what we thought was a deal for a $10,000 bike.
My husband contacted the seller to see if he would allow us to gee and get the bike paying COD, and immediately the guy took the bike off- he thought he had found a prospective buyer- so he withdrew the listing and started contacting my husband.
He said he was not in the US anymore (he had moved to England) and he had no use for the bike anymore.
What we thought in the back of our mind was- if he did not need it there- why did he take it there- why did he say he was located in the US on his seller ID and wasn't.
So, then he began to say he would do the transaction through what he called a "okay Square Trade Deal" which we found out to be phony. He said that once we received the bike, and let him know that we were satisfied, the funds would then be released.
He wanted Western Union. I knew it all sounded too good to be true and it certainly was. This is how people are doing this scam. They will say on the listing that they are located in the US, then they will tell you they have moved out of the country. Thank goodness we were not out of the money. If you get caught in the scam, it is hard to get anything done about it because the seller is in another country and with him withdrawing the listing and beginning to contact you- okay is no longer involved. Hope it helps any of those skeptical.
