The purpose of my guide is to educate others about being careful before you buy a gePLETE Starter Kit which contain the bareMinerals and Bare Escentuals products. My experience included a very large monetary investment and instant disappointment, and although the product may be perfect for others, it may not be for everyone.
I ordered an entire kit, that was advertised for $60.00 , my kit had a DVD and a how-to-guide with it. When my the products arrived my total invoice was close to $100.00. When I inquired about the higher cost, they said because I had opted for the CLUB membership which I had to pay extra in order to get future automatic shipments at a discount and that I had ordered Bare Vitamins. BareVitamins is a skin prep lotion to "rev-up" your skin for the product application. Somehow I signed up for this membership and ordered the product and did not know it. I followed the instructions to receive the Starter Kit for $60.00 yet I ended up with $40.00 more dollars on the invoice.
In the how-to guide, it states We hope you enjoy your 30-day sample of their new product Rare Minerals Skin Revival Treatment. Mine was not included. I inquired and they said that there are several kinds of starter kits and my particular kit had instead a free eyeshadow and a free application brush. I felt like that was wrong to send a product to a customer advertising that an item is included in their product guide and then tell you basically, well you got one of the kits that have the lower end products and that all the kits are different.
I would have rather had exactly what the guide said it was including, because the Rare Minerals- Skin Revival Treatment product is the intial reason why I wanted to try the entire product line after watching and readinga review about this product as well as other bare Minerals products. I was under the impression it was included. So be careful about this.
I found the product takes about 4 or 5 times more time to apply then my original make-up routine. Concealing seemed difficult in geparison to my regular Clinque liquid foundation, I felt like I was continously working the basic steps just to get the main application process. Instead of spending 5 minutes on my makeup process, it was more like 15 minutes. If you are used to only allowing a short time for your make-up application then this product is not as easy as they say to put it all on in the same time frame you were used to using.
The product enhanced my wrinkles under my eyes, and frown and forehead lines tremendously and my smile lines and the overall feelingfelt like a thick mask. I applied just a hair of the Foundation to conceal first then the foundation all over and then, the Mineral Veil, and the Warmth. like the say. "Less is More" Half way through the day the layers started to disappear exposing everything concelead that I had spent so much time on, the product is not long lasting and I work in an air condition environment
I knew the first time I used it. That unless you have porcelain skin, this product is too time consuming and doesn't really live up to my expectations after watching and reading convincing infomercials and forums.
I would suggest if you are going to buy these products, I would buy from anoutlet such asokay vs. the Manufacturer so you can get a better price and experiment with individuals products step-by-step. Just the other day I happen to see a brand new product advertisement on t.v. offering the same type of products for $9.95 as an introductory market pitch to sell the new product. Knowing I could have saved $90.00 dollars didn't make me feel good.
Make sure when ordering you are extremely careful about everything before you pay, and talk to others whether on person or the phone or in forums and research the product before you buy a large intial investment.
I will say the brushes are fantastic. A great variety and very well made. It's fun having all the products, but the now when viewing the products the gepany offers to the retail market. It is getting confusing when looking at all the products and trying to determine if they are all the same product with different names.
