Toshiba Satellite M110, M115 laptop notebook - A Guide

In a nutshell? A gem. Very impressive - and I'm hard as hellto impress.
Birth marks: a smallish- footprint (13.5" x 9.5"), mist-gray hat, silver shirt, black trousers and shoes. Sleek and rounded.
The Basics:These were soldin 2007 and 2008, and used copies are just beginning to find their way onto (or is it "into"?) the market. Celeron to Core Duo processors. DDR2 memory, SATA hard drives. XP Home, XP Pro, XP Media Center, and they'll all do Vista and 7. 14" widescreen, roughly 5 lbs.in weight.
Underneath the hood:Two sub-series: (1) the entry-level series is based on ATI's chipset and video, Celeron M processors, 2GB max RAM, Atheros WiFi card, and run on 19V adapters; (2) the high-end series is based on Intel's chipset and video, core duo processors, 4GB max RAM, Intel WiFi card, and run on 15V adapters. The batteries are not interchangeable between the two different series. Why is this important? If you plan on having more than one in your environment, you'd want them to be from the same sub-series so everything will be interchangeable.
Pros (what works in your favor): * A supremely simple, rock solid chassis - this is half the war in a laptop, and it'd been won in decisive fashion; * Both of the sub-series feel fast - and that is all that counts; * Wireless performance feels great on both sub-series - and that counts a lot, too; * Mobile (small footprint and weight) and doesn't eat up your desk space; * Reliability - see above - A supremely simple, rock solid chassis; * Serviceability is good all the way around.
Cons (what works against you): None, really. Those of you with great eyes will probably crave for a higher resolution screen (
